Jumbo athlete (could project to multiple positions on either side of the line) from Plano Senior High. First team all-district as a defensive lineman (tackle). Also getting looks at tight end, and could possibly project to guard at the next level. Looks like he could be one of those traditional powerful blocking tight ends that Mac likes. A Texas Tech legacy, since his father played there and holds an offer from them.

His Dad, Kerry, signed with UNT.....and played here 1 year I think. He transferred to TTech, when Jerry Moore left UNT to take that job.

Very good info. Thank you for that.

Looks like our third tight end offer this class. By the time this class gets to campus we are projected to have three senior scholarship tight ends. I'm sure the coaches would like a guy or two to groom for a year before those guys leave.

I could see us getting 2 tight ends: a run blocking specialist (a la Reinhardt or A Power) and more of a receiving threat. This Tecklenburg kid, along with Connor Williams from Coppell, would fit the bill of the former and the Herndon kid we just offered and/or Caleb Chumley, if QB doesn't work out, would be the receiving threats at tight end. Not saying we get all or any of these kids, or even that we have for sure offered them at tight end. Just speculation based on what our coaches like, our roster, and these kids' films.
