I certainly don't know all the factors considered when scheduling a pro day but I would think a school like NT would benefit most from

1. Less competition for scouts' attention. Since it only takes one scout to "pound the table" for a guy like ours, it'd be advantageous to make sure that one scout isn't committed to be elsewhere.

2. Scheduling near (but not in competition with) a regional power's pro day. Scouts' lives are hectic, so helping them simplify travel schedules would at least remove one of their excuses for not attending.

It doesn't appear either of these will come into play on April 2.

I have a feeling Columbia, SC might garner a bit of attention on April 2 & the only regional powers with pro days within a week of ours: Johnny Manziel Pro Day - March 27 & LSU Pro Day 4/9
