I have Brinkley, 6'5", under posts because of all the video I found of him, every shot he took was inside the paint, mainly dunks. Also, don't know if he has the ball handling skills to play 3 primarily in college.

Of these guys it seems like Austin is the one we could potentially get. NT03 said Miller doesn't have much interest and Barford released a Top 7 back in the summer and we didn't make it. I don't know about Brinkley, but I'm not sure he'd be the best fit with what we need.

As Vito has said, we'll likely target some JUCO posts who have yet to sign. Problem is, if we use our lasts scholarship spot in our class on a post, then we will not have a backup pg. Or we may cut ties with someone currently on the roster or signed to make room for both. Who we would cut ties with, I have no idea.

Signing a JUCO this late, we'd be lucky for a Colin Voss type player, although Armani Flannigan production would be more likely. Also hard to get a real big man (over 6'8") who is actually good. But we'll see. If we could get one it'd definitely be worth a look.

I mean this sincerely, not sarcastically: Trying to assume how many slots we'll have to fill, how many players we'll sign/recruit, or who we'll have back is a fool's errand until August at the earliest. If we've learned anything from the past two years of Benford Ball, it's that nothing is to be assumed on the roster front.

Absolutely. Look at our 5 signees from last season's early signing period. None were on the court this season.

Just wanted to show where we are right now and where we may go. That being said, "right now" may change on a week to week basis.

I think Miller is a very long shot. He is definitely at the top of the wish list for our coaches, but I just don't see it. I'd give major props to Benny if we landed him, but the staff has missed out on a number of the top PG's in this class. The 2014 PG class a whole is pretty thin.

We have some other options : Austin, Alston, Portley, Shy McCelland ( who tells me he has a UNT offer).

I still think we land Austin.

One thing is for sure , we will bring in a PG and it will be a JUCO

I Fully expect there to be at least 2 more signings. If Benford wants to improve he has to shake up the current roster. What we have right now won't get it done in cUSA

Joy. More revolving door basketball from the coach we hired to take us to the next level.

We've turned into Troy. Athletes and scorers, most from JUCO ranks, but no players that hold them together and make them a team rather than just 13 dudes.
