No idea why Petersen is struggling so much here, he was gold at Wake Forest...they were upset they were losing him.

Not every location suits every coach. Sometimes it doesn't make sense why people succeed somewhere and not somewhere else.

Darn. Hate to see Laura McCoy and the seniors go out this way.

I agree with Ryan that it is weird how bad Peterson has been, considering he actually had proven to be a successful coach. That's pretty embarrassing though, considering La Tech was the 14 seed.

He left because he was going to be fired if he didn't. He's just about a career .500 coach. He did ok at wake forest, but let's please not act like we hired Gino Auriema. Also, Karen Aston left some amazing recruits behind as well, not to mention he seems to be recruiting pretty well too.

He left Wake after a 20 win season.

I like Petersen. Great energy as a coach. I'm just saying he was 126-122 at wake and rumblings were he may not be extended. I expected more of him than we've seen, but I also didn't expect conference championships in the first couple years from

Him.

Like I said, sometimes good coaches fail at places you wouldn't expect them to. Look at Mike Jarvis. He had a lot of success several different places, but really never got it going at FAU outside of one season.
