Villarreal confident in future of UNT basketball

"I feel really good about where we are" states RV per article referring to the status of the UNT basketball program. This has got to be one of the stupidest statements ever uttered by any AD. Just ignore that attendance is down to friends and family and the program has went from one of the most promising in NT history to current status.

I realize that RV is publicly going to defend his hire till the end, but why taunt what little fan base remains with at best delusional remarks or at worse utter contempt for the intelligence of the NT basketball fan.
