I'm not sure the details of how his "exclusive rights free agent" really works, but looks like it's no longer a concern. He'll be in Cleveland next season...

With the coaching change and general chaos of what's going on in that organization, I was wondering what would happen with him. Glad to see he'll be retained. He'll prove to be a valuable building block on and off the field as that franchise seemingly needs a cultural reboot in the worst way.

Dang, Craig is taking a serious one-sided ass whipping from Cleveland's fans in the comment section.

I'm a Cleveland fan and I've like what Craig has done for Cleveland. However, he has not be good in certain situations. Mainly in coverage he struggles. Numerous times this year he got beat. He made big plays last year and that's why he saw the field. He didnt make as many this year. He is a good backup to have. Cleveland coaches and FO personnel believe they need to seriously upgrade the ILB position this year.
