The STAND bringing people in...

BIG DAWG

Recommended Posts

I was at Home Depot in McKinney on Saturday and was stopped by an older gentleman who saw I wearing a NT t-shirt and hat and asked me if I saw the goal line stand against Rice. He said it was the greatest goal line stand he had ever seen, and that NT was about to "real good".

Seems like that one series of plays might have created an entire new group of NT fans

Yeah, didn't hurt it was on tv as well. Hopefully the casual fans turn into legit fans and the legit fans need to start marketing with word of mouth. Every conversation I'm in I squeeze in a "how bout them Mean Green." Sep. 6 Apogee can and needs to be spewing over with green. Standing room only. On Aug. 30 it would be fantastic if we could get 2k into DKR. That's pretty cool though. Glad to hear the casuals are starting to take notice.

I am not entirely sure. 2K is usually a standard amount, that's why I said 2k. But who knows. If we could fill them all and show up in force and be loud it would be a good representation of the direction of the program. Last year the North Texas section took over the La Tech game. It was pretty awesome. Players feed off the crowd even at away games. We could be an inspiration in DKR because the team is going to feel outmanned and looking over and seeing a lite sea of green will inspire them.

I would be very disappointed with 2K. When we played UT in 1988 we had at least 5K fans in the stands.......and we were 1-AA.

Anyone familiar with UT chants and the like? Do they ever just chant "Te-xas"? If so, we got half of our most dominant chant taken care of for us.

yeah, no kidding. I want to see shock on peoples faces. I am not paying the P5 price at DKR to drive down there and watch us get ran out of the building. I expect to see people is shock and panic. GMG

I have experienced the same thing when people realize I'm an NT fan. I always tell them about the program and Apogee and invite them to come up and see a game. Some of these comments have come from what appear to be high school kids and thats especially encouraging.

I still believe the only way you get into Apogee on the 6th is with season tickets or a ticket bought in advance.

Project Hit 32k needs to begin now - March - August - let's get our first sell out accomplished in a few short months.
