I hope this thing can read my dog's thoughts when she's dragging-her-ass-across-my-carpet-like-she's-got-worms-but-we've-had-her-tested-and-she-doesn't-have-worms-but-she-does-this-anyway, because I'd really like to know why she keeps doing this.

Long story short, go to the vet.

This can also happen to cats, but they won't drag their butt around. If you cat suddenly gets even more lethargic and contemptuous than usual, it could be this.

My sister-in-law was trying to tell me how I can do this myself.

The groomer does this for us when we take her in. Bless her heart.
