I had a great time for lunch Saturday at the Truck Yard and had the first Philly Cheesesteak in Dallas that is close to those served in Philadelphia. There were several food trucks and bars in the yard as well. Plenty of cold beer and great scenery, the ladies were out in droves.

I don't remember the name of the place or location but there is something similar to this in Fort Worth I believe which is supposed to be great and probably the best one in the area.

There are two. One is located behind the Target just north of Montgomery Plaza. The other is located behind Ole South Pancake House, I believe (haven't been to this one).

the thing i don't like about the truck yard are the amount of kids that go there, you even get middle school aged kids just walking around the place... it's weird

Here is a link.

Edit: Excuse me sir, but you see, I figured that this place would be somewhere in Denton. I did, in fact, attempt to google it, but came up short with results, hence I asked a simple question. Going forward, as it is 2014, and we are all well past adolescence here, I'd greatly appreciate a simple answer to a simple question. Thanks.

So, stick with Oak Street and East Side for actual glasses, much more reasonable prices, no kids after dark and a train home? On it.

No kids after dark? Don't tell that it a certain set of blonde headed twins.....

Meh, I've taken my kid to Oak Street and East Side, but only after asking John if it was ok, and per his request, I always got her out of there well before sunset. If somebody's skirting that recommendation, I won't cry too many tears about it. If the thousands of carved penises on the tables out back aren't enough to keep the kids out, my ordering another round bourbon back ain't gonna phase anybody.

The point was this is still best and only Philly Cheese Steak I have had in Texas that is even in the ball park with a Cheese Steak Served in Philadelphia. I was amazed. Not to argue Denton verse Dallas, Dallas is where I live and this is good for those that either live in the area or have a good idea of what a Real Philly Cheese Steak should taste like and want one actually close to that. (As served in Philly)

I saw young kids 10-11 or under in the middle of the day not lots, I did not notice any teenagers last Saturday they were carding at the gate. The crowd was upper middle class, and the ages spanned from mid 20s to mid 50s with very attractive ladies through out this age range. I thought it was a really good crowd that seemed laid back. I ran into a few friends I have not seen in a while. The park like atmosphere is not too conducive to glass, I would think that is why plastic. I got my beer in a can, prior to waiting in line for my sandwich.

It's all good, man. The whole LMGTFY super amateur dick move always sets me off a bit.
