What he had could have been very serious. Some people have to wear colostomy bags the rest of their lives. Best of luck in full recovery.

Glad to hear he is ok. It would have been awful having to put that bag inside of his uniform.....never mind what would occur when he hits someone.

It would have certainly been interesting to watch them try to run away from him, though.

Seriously though, glad he is okay and hope he doesn't try to rush his recovery once he's back on his feet. It would suck for him to hurry and get injured as a result, though I would assume the staff would discourage such an action.

This happened to my wife several years ago. She went from feeling fine to intense pain in a matter of about 2-3 hours. The big problem is gangrene due to blood flow being stopped. They wound up taking out about 18 inches and resectioning. Once it healed, she never had anymore problems with it. I asked the doctor about it, and he said it just happens sometimes.
