The SWAC champions return a good portion of their team, but have some key losses on offense and defense that they hope this class will address; at the very least it will raise the competition level of those already in the program. The BOX TO ROW National Offensive Player of the Year quarterback Dray Joseph was lost to graduation. The Jaguars brought in two quarterbacks in Central’s (La.) Jarrad Hayes and West St. John’s Austin Howard. Hayes completed 180 of 283 passes for 2,391 yards with 27 touchdown passes and just five interceptions. Howard threw for 26 touchdowns. The loss of BOX TO ROW All-American wide receiver Lee Doss is huge. The jaguars signed Memphis transfer Reggie Travis and East Feliciana’s Danny Johnson who is listed as an athlete but played wide receiver in high school. The running game has been an issue for the Jaguars the last couple of years and it looks like it will get a boost with the addition of transfers Malcolm Crockett (Pittsburgh) and Jamarcus Jarvis (North Texas).
