I am not saying that this upcoming years team is a better team than the HOD team. I just think that the way the schedule sets up and the guys we do have on the roster I truly think matching 8 wins in the regular season is doable. I think that 9 wins in the regular season is doable and I really think it will be done. 5-1 at home with the only loss being a slip up game, and 4-2 on the road with loses to UT and/or Indiana/Rice. 9-3 is very doable and I wish people would see that. This 6-6 crap is not going to happen, and if it does it will be a disappointing season in my book.

I spend way too much time on this board, but haven't read this thread enough. If someone said we'd go 6-6, it must have been in here somewhere. I don't believe that sentiment is prevalent at all!

I think this coming year has more potential swing games because of factors already discussed (graduating leaders, etc), but I don't believe we will go 6-6.

I'm going to ignore all this DW workout talk and see what happens come spring ball: QB and DL are the most intriguing positions for me. BTW, I think with or without DW we will be fine with this OL. I also think the loss of Brelan is somewhat softened by the addition of more effective options.

I expect improvement on offense, fall off on d, and a major fall off in the return game.

That said, I'm more optimistic about this upcoming season than I've been in a decade.

Beating Texas would make my sports year.
