And Simon. And Parker. And Nelson.

This is one of those times that even *I* can't defend Dickey.

North Texas vs Texas Aggregate Scores:

Dickey (0-3) Total Agg: -90 Avg Agg: -30

Parker (0-1) Tot/Avg Agg: -18

Nelson (0-2) Tot Agg: 23 Avg Agg: -11.5

Tyler (0-1) Tot/Avg Agg: -13

Fry (0-2) Tot Agg: -14 Avg Agg: -7

Only thing I will add is Dickey playing them at their toughest, when they had a national champion team and averaged 10.7 wins the years they played them.

Parker played a 6 win UT team.

Nelson faced teams that averaged 8.7 wins.

Tylers had a tough 10 win team to face.

Fry faced a program that averaged 7.0 wins in the years we played them.

ETA: Although if Dodge had gotten to play Texas the only thing that would have saved him a 70 point loss average is the fact he played there.

It was a requisite under Dickey to face the defending national champion + another top 10 team. I didn't like the guy's pay-check attitude, but - man! - he was facing mountains with financial resources that couldn't build a molehill.

Tank Kelly chose UTSA over UNT too. Then Fresno State flipped him the last week.

So what are they talking about over on rowdy runner or whatever your board is called?

Well if anyone chose utsa over North Texas is just ill informed. No other way to put it. I would go into the "well he may have been raised a utsa fan," but that isn't the case. So for anyone that would pick utsa over North Texas that is in an actual recruiting "battle" doesn't care about their own education or the athletic/academic facilities. So, their loss.

That makes it two years in a row now that more recruits choose us over you, actually.

UNT is a lowly, lifelong loser to everyone that didn't attend it tbh.

I don't speak for anyone other than myself. And I completely agree with Euless.

You play to win and I would expect nothing less from our Mean Green. I have no doubt that our team will come to play, but I'm anticipating several posts by some people throwing their arms up in the air and claiming that the season is over if we lose to Texas. That's all that I am saying.

Ohh ok. So what does that make utsa? It has an 85% acceptance rate...a pitiful endowment (coming from a North Texas fan)...3 years of college football to hang its hat on. It's nothing more than a 4 year junior college, at best. Your juco has produced nothing or no one. 85%.....85%!! So let me break this down for you...Say a high school graduating class of 934 graduates and decides to attend college...about 800 would get accepted into utsa. Go away.

I expect to win. I can't make that any clearer. You play to win. You don't play to keep the score respectable or to feel good about yourself, but to win. If we lose, but played to win then so be it. But if we fold up like a lounge chair at any moment in that game and this includes play calling and player mentality then I will be disappointed.

You want to provide some links for your false claims? UTSA is a 45 year old institution and it's football program is 4 years old, yet we are in the same tier as underachieving UNT in both aspects.

Sucks doesn't it?

Hearing the truth instead of delusional takes hurts, huh?

No, what hurts is that you are trolling another team's message boards. I feel for you dude, I really do.

UTSA is the same tier?

In what category?

Oh wait!

NONE.

Also, it is its not it's. UTSA ed.

Tier rating is a BS entitlement pageant and everyone knows that. It's all about enrollment and conference affiliation (Private schools and Ivy league being the exceptions). If an AAC, CUSA, or MWC school jumps over to the ACC, big12 or 10 and wasn't carrying a tier 1 well they will be shortly. As far as utsa goes, they are a branch university. Branch universities have a ceiling. Daddy (UT) isn't going to allow that school to grow into anything, academically or athletically.

Thanks, bro. Appreciate it.

Same as in we are both striving for Tier One and we are both a ways off from achieving it. Similar acceptance rates, ACT/SAT requirements, professor quality, etc. All this info is out there but instead yall choose to choose to stay in your state of delusion.

Ok, so lets ignore facts and acceptance rates/requirements bc it doesnt suit your argument. Makes perfect sense.

And sure I highly doubt we ever reach UTs stature academically or athletically but what does that have to do with UNT? Its not like we have to become UT to be on par/pass up your little school in Denton.

Uh...

73% acceptance rate at UTSA to 59% at UNT.

60% retention rate at UTSA to 79% at UNT.

9% 4-year graduation rate at UTSA to 22% at UNT.

12% of students live on campus at UTSA to 19.3% at UNT.

...these stats are even more impressive because we have a lot more students.

UTSA has 8 nationally ranked programs...UNT has 20 nationally ranked programs.

UTSA has no top 50 ranked programs...UNT has 5 top 50 ranked programs.

UTSA has less of an athletic budget than UNT.

Keep in mind those rankings don't include our music and hospitality programs which are some of the best in the country. And our journalism program, the only nationally accredited program in Texas.

Shall I go on? We do have a better endowment than you as well. We have similar research numbers (logical, since we are not a science-heavy school historically) and similar acceptance requirements. As do all the schools in Texas.

We are way superior academically. It's not even an argument you can argue.

Oh, and small school? Really? More students attend UNT than UTSA.......

Also, you can't argue professor worth, there's no statistic for that. Although I likely doubt that you have better professors than us.
