The grayshirts are Johnavan Graham, Shaquel Jackson and Caleb Chumley? If that's the case, I'd really like to see Chumley moved to this year's class with the scholarship that we were holding for Xavier Washington.

We've really had a poor history with grayshirting. Don't hold me to names but a wide receiver from Corsicana, a wide receiver from Southlake and a lineman from Wichita Falls were all grayshirted and I don't believe that they ever made it to the field. Andrew Tucker has fared a little better but I expected another Lairamie Lee and that hasn't happened.

In my opinion Chumley does not need another semester away from football after missing part of last season with an ankle injury. He needs to be here undergoing S&C and team meetings.

I'm hoping that Jackson, especially, breaks the mold of grayshirting busts. He seems to be a very good player and we need good defensive lineman like breath. Graham may be a good player as well but he was robbed of his senior season so we can only speculate what he might be. I truly hope that both can come on strong when given the opportunity.

So, I say screw holding a scholarship for anyone who might slip. Chumley has more raw talent than anyone that we could get at this stage. Just do the right thing.
