Signing Day To Include Live Webcast, Celebration At Apogee

North Texas Football To Announce 2014 Recruiting Class On Wednesday, Feb. 5

North Texas will announce its 2014 football recruiting class on National Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 5, and will mark the occasion with events throughout the day.

Wednesday is the first day recruits can sign a National Letter of Intent, and North Texas is looking to build on the success of its 2013 season, which culminated in a 9-4 record and a victory on New Year's Day in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Live updates - as the National Letters of Intent roll in Wednesday morning, updates will be posted on Twitter @MeanGreenSports and on Facebook. A complete list of all the signees, with bios and video highlights, will be published on MeanGreenSports.com when all the NLIs have come in.

Signing Day Live - the athletic department will stream a live show at 1 p.m. on MeanGreenSports.com, featuring interviews with head coach Dan McCarney and some of the 2014 recruits. There is no charge to view the webcast.

Signing Day press conference - coach McCarney will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. from Apogee Stadium to answer questions from the media. Video of the press conference will be available on MeanGreenSports.com shortly after its conclusion.

Signing Day Celebration - coach McCarney, members of his staff, and members of the athletic department will host a dinner in the HUB International Club Level at Apogee Stadium Wednesday evening. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the event will begin at 6:30.

The evening will feature Coach McCarney's discussion of the recruiting class.
The event will be catered by Prairie House. Admission is $10 for Mean Green Club members and $20 for non-members. Attire for the evening is business casual. Call the ticket office at 940-565-2527 to purchase tickets.

I love that we are able to include this in all references to our program. Hope to see these kinds of statements for years to come, maybe improved with double-digit victories and eventually better bowls.
