This list is dated but gives you an idea of how they are evaluating the prospects.. I've been told that these tests can mean as much in terms of recruiting as play on the field or at minimum can be the difference between choosing one recruit over the next if all else is equal. You can't coach physical attributes, speed etc. While we often focus on the size of his recruits, I am noticing that quietly, Mac is addressing the speed of this program. Another thing I am hearing is that 40 times aren't as important as they used to be. They look at the shuttle times and also the vertical leaping ability at some positions just as much or more. i saw Willy Ivery on the list and I am sure there are others.

You're right about speed. The "Miami model" is a pretty safe one to follow. You can't tackle or block what you can't touch.
