Looks like a good player who will have two years to play after sitting out for a redshirt year. Played his high school ball in Tyler and appears to be friends with Laramie Lee. Welcome Chad to the Mean Green family!

Can't find any confirmation of offers, but it says this at the bottom of his Wyoming profile:

Reese was also recruited by Memphis, New Mexico, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech

If he's class of 2011 then he will only have 1 more year of eligibility after sitting out next year. 3rd year of college right now, next year (his redshirt year) will be his 4th. Then 2016, when he becomes eligible, will be his 5th year of college (redshirt senior season).

Edit: Meant to say in 2015, when he becomes eligible.

Has to sit out per transfer rules. If a player is on scholarship at an FBS school and transfers to another FBS school then he must sit out a year. Even if he isn't going to be on scholarship here. He wouldn't have to sit out a year if he graduated from Wyoming and came here to be in a grad program that they did not offer. Not the case in this instance.

I think his point is that this coming season is 2014 so he should be eligible for the 2015 season, not 2016.

Gotchas. Meant to say he'd be eligible in 2015 as a redshirt senior. Been in basketball mode this weekend. 2 basketball seasons from now will be 2015-2016. But yes, he'll sit out 2014 and play his final season as a redshirt senior in 2015. What I meant to say, sorry. Thanks for catching it!

Yes, it really is so very easy to do..,and fun sometimes to watch the response...not as funny when the shoe's on the other foot is it? But, you know...kids these days....LOL

Glad you have emerged for the "all us young guys" crowd as their anointed spokesman now. One gets tired of the same cute little stuff over and over and over...so little creativity....but, kids these days...what you gonna do?

Don't let it get to you...it's the internet, it's a fan board...go back and read some history here, "all the young guys" will tell you it's OK, it's just opinions...well, it's OK IF your opinion agrees with theirs...kids, kids, kids. LOL. Enjoy the ride....it's GMG.com and it's fun.

I was hopeful when he said that he'd be here in two seasons on his tweet but if it's only one year so be it. He'll have time to learn the defense and either start or be a major contributor in the year that we have him. Perpetuating quality leads to more talent committing to play here. I wish that he could be on the field with his friend Lairamie Lee but we'll take what we can get.
