Man...Brett Shipp is not the guy you want launching into an investigation on anything you care about. He's good, thorough and this won't be pleasant for them. In short, lolz.

I love that the attitude isn't "well, we have been known to cheat before" and is instead "WFAA is picking on us" or "was it a UT reporter?"

Someone tell me again about all the "good apples" at D-bag U.

Also, sounds like the grade fixing pertains to a player's grades in HS.

I rather have Benford with a losing record then this disgrace. You go to college for the main purpose of learning. Terrible for SMU but maybe UNT can benefit.

You know what would be worse? The losing and Benford and something like this happening to us. Just sayin'.

Man, I just can't believe their reaction. Do they not know that Larry Brown has cheated everywhere he has been?

And instead of "if there is a problem, lets get it fixed, take our punishment, and move on" it's "don't admit anything, hire a lawyer, cover things up."

I guess that fan base didn't learn anything from the 80s.

Sad.

Just watched the 1st episode -- it sounds like Frazier was failing and his grades were changed by Kimble high school. An SMU assistant was in contact with Kimble high school and called them on the day it was changed. So the issue is was SMU involved in pressuring them to change the grades? Also, SMU has known about this for a couple of months yet Larry Brown said today that he knew nothing about it. There is a second part on tomorrow nite.

There were concerns that Frazier would not be eligible this past summer. He had some work to do to become eligible. Shipp has been after Frazier and Kimball for over a year. The issue before was his residence (living in Irving) while attending Kimball. He is a snake and tries to ambush folks on tape.

He had similar issues with Tony Mitchell and Pinkston. He was responsible for the UIL taking away 2 state championship trophies from SOC. My problem with him is that his reports are rating based as he only goes after the top recruit or top team.

SMU has a history of not relaxing their admission standards for top athletes. The coaches had become frustrated with the administration. This may have changed.
