Both have been injured on and off during the fall...ankle for Bardabush and achilles for Sprinkmeyer. They missed several matches/tournaments in the fall, leaving us shorthanded on experience since both are juniors (no seniors on team this year). Hope they heal before the conference tournament or even earlier. Noticed our new freshman from Ukraine who enrolled at semester played in the top spot. She is said to be really good and will probably end up at the #2 or #3 spot when Bardabush returns---with a little experience she might be able to take over the #1 spot next year.

thanks for the info, the team will need them both back and healthy to make any run at Conference, if they are healthy that would put them IMO around #4 in Conference behind Rice, Tulsa, maybe Tulane.

UNTBowler....I think you are right on with your rankings. Rice is really tough, Tulsa not far behind, and Tulane a tad below Tulsa. If we have everyone healthy, have our new freshman play up to her potential, and continue improving, we could make a deep run during tournament time. It would take a good draw and everyone playing at the top of their game, but it could be a team that gets to the finals if all goes well. We will now more once some of the dual matches start this spring....GO MEAN GREEN!

Tough 0-3 start for our women's tennis team but they should bounce back.

Lost to OU 0-7, USC 0-4 and Utah 1-4.

thats a pretty rough schedule to start with when down 2 of your Top 4 players, but Lama certainly does not shy away from a challenge.

All roads end in VA this spring, prepping for CUSA Tournament

Rice has a tough 1-2 punch with Beazant (chaired her match 2 yrs ago when she beat ole Miss All-American in NCAA 2nd Rd) and Harmath, tricky lefty that annoys the hell out of opponents, then just lots of depth.

Tulsa is just solid, plus they added a Polish Girl that was being recruited by SEC schools, but was a challenge to get in.

Tulane is nothing spectacular just solid and deep.
