I know he got a taste of what it is like to be MEAN GREEN at the HOD festivities. But is there a plan for the Green Brigade to welcome him at the official arrival event? I believe he officially joins the Mean Green Nation in early February.

It would be wonderful to welcome him with spirit and Mean Green pride. Off topic I want our 2014 schedule so I can begin making travel plans!

NM Green, I'd almost bet our fabulous marching ambassadors, ie, the Green Brigade would be a part of such a welcoming ceremony for Dr. Smatresk, but the main question is: How would they enter the main ballroom where the "meet the president" festivities will take place?

PS: I know U of North Texas has many facilities to choose from to have such a welcoming gathering, but wouldn't it have been nice to have had the new hotel and convention center facilities in operations for this fun event? All of that happening in the shadows of Apogee Stadium and inside the Mean Green Village in other words?

Yeah, as long as they are already in place and don't have to make an entrance, they'll be very impressive........
