See I don't see that at all. I am sure he works his but off but if someone in this thread is being compared to Brelan then I see it out of Kingwood's Christopher Smith. Smaller sized speedster that makes people miss with ease.

No, Christopher Smith doesn't remind me of Brelan at all. I don't see him breaking out of tackles the way Brelan does. I just watch what this kid does when contact is initiated, and they respond very similarly, making a slight juke to avoid the brunt of contact and keeping the legs moving to get yards after contact.

I haven't even clicked the video yet, but please tap the brakes on Brelan.

Relax, I'm just talking about the way he runs coupled with his small size. I'm not saying he's going to be NT's next all-conference player.

You're wrong. I'm right. End of story.

How many true 4.3 guys do we have on our team. Christopher Smith's video leads me to believe he can run a 4.3. Even at 4.4 that's blazing fast no matter his size. If Mr. Smith hits the second level it's on. Watch Chris recieve a little screen pass then his wheels took over, this kid is fast!!! Can't wait to see Mr. Smith in practice later on this year.

Really, How many guys on our team can run a true 4.3. That's smokin fast!!!

And being sure-handed would be a plus, too.

I can't remember Breland Chancellor ever muffing a punt or kick-off return.....period.

This film just gave me goosebumps. This kid is a selfless athlete who looks like he has a good football IQ and can be utilized in different positions. You can tell he gives it his all in every play. I'm very impressed with his footwork, vision on the field, and the patience with the ball in his hand to create a play. We need to get him into a weight room, enhance his footwork even more, and fine tune this guy to D1 status. Thank you for posting this.

A hidden gem for sure. Best of luck to this kid.

Totally agree with you. You can't coach vision, and IMHO you can only do a little adjusting regarding footwork. Although I find his footwork excellent. The most impressive part to me was his running in traffic. That's all about vision and footwork. Add a little strength and this young man could be very effective. I could see him getting one of those WR reverses and having the option of either running or throwing it.

Now Smith is the young man that I think needs a little help with his footwork. He runs with large strides, and runners like that tend to get tripped up too easily whilst running in traffic. The most effective runners run with more of a quick shuffling motion.

It warms my heart to see the genuine excitement of these guys! Hope they land a spot in the team.

Makes me think we should start some type of 12th man tradition.

Sorry, There is only one 12th Man Kick Off Team.

North Forney? When did Forney get big enough to have two schools?

Yeah, it seems crazy. 10 years ago, Forney had one 3A school - now we have two 4A schools.

Not a ton of great talent from either school lately, but always great to see kids interested in UNT from this area.

Now there is a 4A school just down Hwy 80 (Terrell) that has produced some nice talent (Booger Kennedy) :)
