So, still 2 open spots after Davis's defection.

2 more on the defensive line would be just fine with me.

Welcome to the UNT family, Mr. Johnson.

North Texas, ie, the campus, Apogee Stadium, the Mean Green Village, the Heart of Dallas Bowl game (with a win) at the historic Cotton Bowl along with 35,000 "traveling" Mean Green fans would make the Mean Green program an easy decision with many of our Friday Night Heros.

Welcome to Mean Green Country, Tillman!

Caleb Washington returned a Georgetown pass 53 yards for a touchdown as the McNeil Mavericks brought their hard-hitting defense and played a strong first half. But untimely breakdowns allowed Georgetown (2-0) to escape Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex with a 36-13 win over the Mavericks.

Mavericks defensive specialist Tillman Johnson was a force the entire game, drawing a double team yet managing to be part of 12 tackles in the contest.

Tillman Johnson HUDL Video

Guy plays extremely quick, great first move. Motor never stops. He's like a magnet to the ball.

Interesting that the other defensive end #9 committed to Houston. He's taller but not a better football player. Johnson looks like the MVP of their defense.

He is a pretty powerful kid to be able to play both inside and outside gaps. He can also bullrush (most HS kids can't) at least use the move and make a play. I am impressed and I think he will be a Special Teams playmaker/pass rushing specialist next year.

So we raided Southwest Texas State again. Looks like a good prospect down the road but this team needs some serious impact line play right away.

If we are relying on incoming freshmen over players like Lincoln, Orr, Polk, Mason, Wallace, etc... then we are in trouble. Now, to be part of the rotation or to provide depth, then okay. I would also hope players like Watson, Haboul, Dilonga, etc.., that have been in the program will step up this next year to allow these youngsters to develop. I only want freshmen stepping in and being a force their first year on campus because they are immensely talented.
