After making a few phone calls this afternoon, here is where UNT stands as we head down the stretch in football recruiting.

I swapped messages with top defensive end target Xavier Washington. The Cedar Hill standout had a good time at Houston, but UNT is still very much in the hunt and will receive an official visit next weekend.

Davis actually was our highest rated prospect according to 247. Tied with Fonzale Davis at a grade of 84.

I really like Tillman Johnson's film, but he will be more of a pass-rushing specialist especially early on at 6'1" 225 lbs, and we have plenty of pass-rushing ends. If X really is 6'2.5" 249 lbs then he has the size to be a 3-down end which is what we really need. I hope we get both.

Operation X get the FRATERNITIES INVOLVED!!!!! I remember my Freshman year at OU they had signs painted by frats hanging from frat houses welcoming "Malcolm Kelly" to SOONER NATION and he came to a then packed Loyd Nobel. Not that the Pit would be packed but dang that would be cool to see as a recruit that multiple fraternities or sororities, wanted X to become a MeanGreen football player!!!!!

Harry, any idea who to get in touch with about this topic?

I would reach out to the athletic department/coaching staff --- that way you could be certain that everything you were doing was in compliance...

As long as you don't offer to buy / give him anything your good..

When TJ took his visit to OU, the band and student section hollered " we want TJ" all game

I would suggest blow up some of his cedar hill pics & photoshop a UNT jersey on him.. Print it out and put it on a posterboard, stick , etc

No sir, on Frat row, in Norman, that was right as you drove into campus, but at UNT I think it would be cool to have it in frat row. Have his football player guide drive him around campus and then happen upon the frat row and BOOM.

So, we have two spots left. I am assuming one is Washington's for the taking. What direction do we go with the other? The DT from Lufkin is a long shot, but still on the board, or do we replace Garrett with another CB? If so, who?

I would run thru a fire with gasoline drawers on if it meant X would commit

I'd run through a smoldering bonfire and take a scalding hot nail through my shoe resulting in a tetnus shot.

And I have done that...now it's X's turn to committ to NT.
