Would have been a nice athlete to get. The more painful part is losing him to a school in the DFW. Always want to beat those in your immediate vicinity...

Pretty old news, my friend. And he probably wasn't going to be a QB at North Texas.

I figured that with his abilities, he'd be a great slot WR and a nice set of skills to have for plays that require passing to come from someone that isn't a QB. He'll be dangerous when he hits about 180lbs.

Good luck to the kid. Glad he got the offer. Sure hope his ego didn't get the best of him. Bigger faster and stronger in the Big XII than De Soto (and in CUSA). But, glad he has the chance to show someone what he can do.

My prediction is that he will never see a down at QB on a consistent basis in the Big XII. But, definitely has the athletic ability to play other roles. But, that's now TCU's job to find out where best to play the kid.

This took place months ago. He jumped ship literally within 24 hours of receiving the offer. Dude would not and will not touch the field as a QB. Slot is his one and only hope. I hope he has good hands and can take a shot every now and then. Good riddance.
