Now that we have both Mac and Patrick maybe it's an omen that we'll be able to schedule USF within the next few years and get payback for 2002.

Speaking of Skladany... has anyone seen this pic of him before?

Reminds me of Thurman Munson:

Well, that was about as smooth a transition as you could ask for.

I bet Nelson didn't officially 'retire' until coach Patrick was committed.

Nice hire. I like his recruiting credentials and that he's another former-USF guy who's used to working with our other assistant coaches.

KP is a great hire, he is an incredible motivator. He is a true players coach. Yes he did coach JPP, but surprisingly most of you are leaving out one of your local boys. The Cowboys George Selvie. Talk about impressive, go back and look at Selvie's college stats. Canales, Simmonds, Wintrich, Patrick and Mac. UNT quickly turning into what the coaches call it USF West

Ditch that nickname, but all the rest of it is good stuff.

I'm never a huge fan of that kind of nickname but USF was a program to be reckoned with in the early-mid 2000s. They went from FCS to Big East in two years. Let's see how quick Mac can move us up.

This is another reason Coach Mac's extension "for life" is a good thing. He is extremely well connected.

I love this hire because he knows how to recruit, build a program, has been a winner all his life, and can point to the NFL for examples of his former players/recruits. Mac's connections along with our size and location make us the big dog on the CUSA porch.

Ugh. I can still clearly remember that game. Was such a disappointment.

I was sick, so I missed that one. Every game I saw that year was a win. Kind of wished I hadn't been sick, just to see if the luck would have held out...
