MGB: Berglund out

Then I'd say D-Will (after recovery from his phantom injury) is certainly the lead dog.

I thought you were kidding (still think you might be). Yeah, he went in when DT went down with a temporary injury. He fumbled the first snap (not a good snap iirc) and threw a pick in his only pass attempt. He did much better in the Georgia game.

One thing you should know... I'm never kidding.

I don't understand the "oh, what might have been" replies. I read this to mean we could have been so much better with Berglund under center, yet none of us saw him play except in the spring game. I saw that game and while his athleticism was impressive, he didn't really impress me as a QB.

I wish BB well and hope he has found a home at Northern Colorado. I also agree with 86, get your degree Brock and best of luck.

This is where I am on it as well.

Northern Colorado graduates it's #1 and #2 QBs...from a squad that just went 1-11. There is only one other QB on the roster, and he was a redshirt freshman. I don't see how Berglund doesn't start there.

I feel bad for him, though, because Northern Colorado is a terrible football program with 10 consecutive losing seasons. This is a school Joe Glenn regularly took to the Division II playoffs in the 90s. They jumped up to I-AA/FCS competition in 2007; but, were already on their way down competitively.

I hope BB fairs well closer to his family and am glad he had a season to remember as part UNT's Historic Century team and Heart of Dallas Bowl Champions. I'm sure it is something he'll never forget. As far as the future of our QB's in this upcoming season... I trust the combined knowledge of our coaches. Once camps start, they will put the guy in there who will give us the best chance to win... Our job as fans is to support whoever it is at that time. Until then... all we can do is speculate. GO MEAN GREEN!!

A lot of people said they would lose faith in Mac if he kept DT as the starter. Aside from a couple of down games, he was still steady enough to get us one of the best seasons in school history. Yes, there were a lot of other factors that played into that, but he knew the offense well and was able to execute just fine. If 9-4 in our first season in a new conference is an example of what happens when some fans don't trust the coach, then that's fine by me.

Good luck to Brock, hope he gets a chance to turn things around at UNC in more ways than one.
