Regardless, it seems like a bad idea to cover the rust resistant paint with green (maybe this was part of why we had secondary colors in the 90s...brown is the new green?). So the next best option is some sort of lighting...embedded lights with green bulbs and covers are probably a better idea than some sort of fixture shining up, because of maintenance and security (a fixture might be more easily targeted for acts of vandalism). This would have been a nice addition before its completion since it will be difficult to do something like this now that it's built unless someone has a better way to do it.

If TXDOT owned a bridge on UT's campus and they wanted to paint it burnt orange the bridge would be burnt orange with LED lights at night. That isn't an excuse. Make the thing green and shine some green on it at night. Excuses are exhausting.

really?!?

...this is a terrific looking bridge. It is well designed and very low maintenance.

Question: Should we paint all the cement on Apogee "green" just because we can see it from the highway?

Answer: no (a little ambient green lighting on bridge...maybe...but paint no)

besides...we have bigger issues...Scrappy really needs our help...he's in a dark period.

We Need to fix the rust on that bridge somehow!! WE ARE in the 21st century and no excuse in the world to keep this steel look that bad (Rusted).

The rust provides a protective coating for the metal that requires little to no maintenance. If you use paint, the metal must be repainted every couple years if you want to maintain the longevity of the bridge.

What it really comes down to is cost versus aesthetics.

I demand hover cars!

Perhaps this should be renamed the "yelling at clouds board".

I suppose to each their own. I really like the bridge with the exposed beams.

That almost sounds like you're trying to make that sound like a euphemism used as a dirty comment but I can't tell.

I going to hold up some cards and you tell me the first thing that comes to mind. I am guessing it might be boobs.

In a nut shell....... I like the bridge.
