No. The clothing and bowl watch replace ring.

That sounds like a bad trade...what do the guys think of it?

i hope not... rings should be reserved for conference championships or a big bowl... something we should still need to strive for

Maybe it's strategic. Use the pursuit of "conference champion rings" as motivation heading into next season.

There is no such thing as a "Bowl Ring" or at least there used not to be. It used to be that Conference Championship rings included the bowl in which they participated in. Example - Old Southwest Conference Championship with Cotton Bowl on one side, or the TCU Conference Championship incorparting the Rose Bowl on it. Most bowls used to give watches to all the players.

Our guys voted on a watch over a ring. I advised my player to go for the watch. If you don't win the Conference/National Championship, you don't deserve a ring.

It irks me to see High Schools that give out State "Finalist" Rings. That's what patches on letterman jackets are for.

I work with federal tax code on a daily basis. Following the rules of football regalia seems imminently more complex.

I was going to ask the same thing. Is it actually a cool HoD watch or just a generally nice watch?
