It is hard to believe that Ball State has not won a bowl game! They seem to have had some solid years and have been bowling for awhile. I think an Arkie State Mean Green game this year would have been very evenly matched.

I love college football for all its imperfections and random craziness. In addition to the fun games I heard two announcers struggle:

1. Yesterday on the radio broadcast for Houston and Vanderbilt one of the announcers kept calling the player, Trayvon Martin instead of Trayvon Stewart. He had to keep correcting himself, but dude was struggling trying to observe, think and speak at the same time.

2. Tonight Danny Kannel was promptly corrected to use the term "Little Person" formation.

Ahhhhhh college football - sad face there is only one game left!

Thank goodness ASU blocked it or it might have taken the center's head off it was so low. Terrible.

Looked like Ball State could care less about this game. And their OC should be gone for trying to

throw into the wind when the run was there all night. Edwards should have had 250 yards on that weak D.

Weather was bizarre with a cold front moving in. Sprinkle. Stop. Wind picked up. More sprinkles, Harder wind.

Irony of the final play. It took place one yard (same hashmark) from the defensive stop that won last year's game for AState.

Next is coach #5 (#7 if you count interims) in five years. It's been a wild ride. Fredi was a terrible passer (once Kennedy was hurt we had no choice, and that's why we tried several WR passes) and to lead that last drive was simply amazing.

I watched Ball against you guys and thought they looked good until they faded late.

ArkStFan, why don't you all keep Thompson as your head coach? It looks like the players love playing for him, he has led them to two bowl wins as the interim coach, yet the announcers said he would be unemployed starting today. What's his story?

Correct. How embarrassing. CUSA was 3-3, SBC 2-0. Just shows CUSA is not as bad as everyone thinks. Problem is the bottom is really really bad.

And that bottom is almost entirely in our division starting next year. 1-11 Southern Miss, 1-11 UAB, and 2-10 UTEP. Not to mention 4-8 La Tech whose wins came against UTEP, Southern Miss, FIU, and Lamar. Not to turn this into a conversation about next year's team, but man those 4 games along with Nicholls State should give us 5 automatic wins.

Congrats Arkansas State and Arkst fan. One of my former teammates is a promising freshman defensive end Chris Odom.
