With the wind chill, it's expected to be -30. I know Green Bay prides itself on being a tough postseason destination, but is there a limit? I grew up just outside of Buffalo and Philly, so I'm used to the cold and even used to go outside in the negative teens and twenties during really bad periods, but that was either taking out the trash or going for a short run in the snow, maybe a mile and a half, but with multiple layers of clothing (and I was active, not sitting in the freezing temps). But we're talking about fans sitting in a stadium for 4 hours. I figure there won't be as much concern for the players, who have trainers and heaters to huddle around, but the chances of deaths (with an s) in that stadium with temps this low are going to be pretty high, even for the locals who are used to the cold. Am I the only one that thinks this should be one of those extremely rare postponed playoff games? I know it throws off the whole schedule, but would it be worth the fact that the phrase "die hard fan" could become less of a metaphor?

Edit: No, I didn't wear layers to take out the trash. Sometimes I'd go out in just shorts and sneakers and run around like a crazy person for a little while in the -20s. But that was also for brief periods, not sitting down for hours.

They're pretty used to it up there. I've been ice fishing in -20 up there, not in a shed. It was just like any day, people milling around, shooting the breeze. You just had to drink your beer really fast lest it freeze. That's when I learned why Kessler is so popular.
