There are still a few bowls left, but here are the standings thus far by conference.

Among conferences who have finished their bowl seasons:

The PAC-12 (6-3) and Independents (2-1) are first in percentage at .666.

The Big 12, Mountain West, and Conference USA are next at 3-3 each (.500).

The Big 10 (2-4) ends with a dismal .333, closing with about the same level of dominance they started with in their early-season out-of-conference schedule, which was not much more impressive than most of the mid-major (non-AQ) field.

Of those with bowls yet to play:

The SEC is looking pretty good at 6-2 (.750).

The ACC (4-6) didn't do so well by having so many bowl-eligible teams and is currently at .400, though the big prize still looms with the possibility of a national championship.

The Bank of America American conference of Americans in America (2-2) will try to edge out its soon-to-be mid-major brethren by trying to push past its current .500 record.

The MAC (0-4) is hoping to break its streak in its final bowl game against the SunBelt (1-0), who will be trying for a perfect bowl season in its limited number of bowl options.

The Big 10's record is why I was hoping to draw the rumored Minn/Iowa type match-up.

Of course, I would've included Nebraska in that group assuming the coaching drama would have had the opposite effect than what it proved to in their upset of UGA

Rooting for the Sun Belt to finish perfect, plus gotta love ArkSt Fan's insight and commentary. I always feel I am getting some secret information from behind the vault when that guy posts about realignment and politics.

GO ARKIE STATE!

Even if they lose the National Title and despite getting wrecked by Oklahoma, SEC fans will still use this to circlejerk. Ugh.

Except for the BCS Championship game, I'm pretty sure the SEC got a favorable matchup in every bowl game. That is, they played down against a lower-ranked opponent every time. It helps conference bowl record when you get to do that.

Nothing to do with arkSt Fan, but I am rooting for ball state. It would be nice to have a win over an 11 win team.

You forgot, one of the conferences has American in it. I'm sure it's just a typo.

Exactly. These games are set up by bowl committees who are looking to fill up stadiums and their pockets. They only care about TV ratings and attendances, it's not a gauge of how good your conference is. I'd bet top dollar that they would have had a tough time against the PAC 12 this year.
