My favorite time of year, mother kids we get today are the kids who will make or break this program for the next 2-5 years. It's always interesting to see who jumps ship, who stays onboard and who comes aboard at the last minute. Hopefully there will be a few good surprises in for the MG faithful.

Indeed, unfortunately with only a couple of spots left news will be sparse. But atleast we can be confident those two spots will be filled by quality players and not random off the radar guys we hear of 4 days before signing day.

Also, we are in a dead period until Jan. 15th with no contact. I wouldn't expect much on the recruiting front until then. Very odd the NCAA implemented such a long dead period towards the end of bowl season.

I would like to see us take a step forward and get a commit or two in the spring, before or while the kids are in spring ball. We normally don't see our first commit until the summer. The earlier you get commits the more time you have to focus on other recruits. Not to mention those early commits often will recruit while at camps and at 7-on-7 tourneys over the summer and such.
