Haven't seen anyone post anything about this one yet....what did ya'll think of the game on Sunday? Maybe Qunicy has finally shown up for the game....for a while....I was pretty impressed with the offense. We have a pretty big line and they are finally giving Q some time to look around. Anyone else dare to say we might just make it to the top of the NFC this year??? HMMM...what a concept....bring back memories of old....when Bryant wasn't the name on the #88 jersey.....oh well...love to see them be able to do it again...heck...I'd love to see them make the playoffs for a change. Looks like they might have a chance.

Now, I love my Cowboys, anyone who knows me already knows that. but I dont entirely agree with Pryncess's post.

Quincy wasnt really there for most of the game. He was overthrowing, and not completing passes that he should have, probably due to being overly anxious and needing to just calm down. He did have his moments, which were undeniably incredible.....the 43 yd rocket he threw.....whew that was awesome.

Ive seen him better actually. Now, dont get me wrong, I have been a quincy supporter from the beginning, I am all for him, but honestly if he had shown up for the game like he should have he would have played well from the moment he stepped on the field.

The Cowboys are doing great, 2 wins on the road is awesome, but I personally like to take it one game at a time and just enjoy the boys and not think so much about playoffs and championships. You just never know. Lets just keep winning one game at a time. biggrin.gif

He can throw the deep ball very well, can take off, can improvise and is gutsy, but has problems with short passes at times because he is throwing it 100 miles per hour and gets excited early in a game and has balls sail on him in the first quarter.

Sound familiar?

Before you write off Quincy, remember this is an exact description of Brett Favre and he has done OK.

In the NFL today, you have to have a quarterback that manages the game, makes a play if necessary, but doesn't lose it for you. If you think that Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, or Tom Brady are anything more than that, then you don't watch football. If Quincy keeps improving, he can easily be that type of quarterback.

Pay attention Cowboy fans: Troy Aikman is gone. There may never be another like him. There isn't a Troy Aikman in league today, so stop expecting his clone to suddenly appear. Quincy Carter can do the job required of a winning team in the NFL today, and thank God we have a coach that will let him blossom into that player. Bruce Coslet's love affair with the stiff and uncoordinated Hutchinson set Quincy back in both development and confidence, I'm glad he's way the hell outta Dallas and we have Parcells, Payton, and Carthon, making Quincy better.

I agree..it is nice to "take it one game at a time" and enjoy the wins...but sports, especially football, centers around the grand prize...in this case the Lombardi. I know it's early and the playoffs are a way's away....but so is the New Orleans bowl and we're already making predictions about that. What fun are sports if you can't predict and evaluate your chances for having a winning season, even if it we are just 3 games into it???

I can definitely see the this Cowboys team pulling off at least a .500 season....which is a heck of an improvement. Quincy can only get better...and he's doing that on a weekly basis.

Can't wait to see how this season progresses.
