I knew we had a special team after we stomped a mudhole in Idaho, but remember how our defense kept giving up the long ball? Secondary was a major weakness that got fixed; Buyers is a major reason why. What a young star. Can't wait to see him in the future.

Love this guy, favorite returning player on D. I was fortunate to sit behind and talk to his dad throughout the HOD game. There were a good 15-20 people there for him. They loved when I talked about Rice picking on him and it continually back firing. This guys a stud!

Our best open field tackler IMO

No doubt. If he gets a hand on someone, they aren't going anywhere. He also does a really good job shedding blocks. There was a tackle he made at Louisiana tech after coming off of a block that was just awesome. Just need to work on those pass (interception) catching abilities. He could have scored at least 2 tds this season.

Thanks for spotlighting Kenny Buyers.

Watching the game last night, I said that Kenny Buyers is my favorite player on the team.

Guy is on an island most of the time, and his open field tackling is a delight to watch.

We were talking in the stands about who gets the HOD MVP....Buyers got two votes of the 10 voters in my section.

Buyers in particular is an outstanding tackler. But overall, this was the best tackling defense that I have ever seen at NT.

I will always remember the mean green D of 2013 and their ability to really take over the 2nd half of games the way they did.
