A big shout out to a group that sometimes gets overlooked

I want to thank the UNT fans! Thanks to all of you who rounded up as many friends, family and neighbors as you could to come out and participate in the bowl events and the game itself. There was a sea of green out there today and it made a BIG difference in the outcome of this important game. Today was monumental for the program and it couldn't have been achieved without your efforts! If you attended the bowl game today either by yourself or brought others, give yourself a big pat on the back! Like Coach McCarney said, this is only the beginning. We have a VERY loyal base of good fans who have stuck through some very lean years. After today's outcome I expect this group will grow significantly in future years. GMG!

Most fun I have ever had at a UNT event. Definitely worth the bad sunburn I am sporting on my face and the lost voice. So proud of the way our fans showed up and yelled their butts off! Love this team and can't wait to see what's next.

Agree the sunburn is well worth it, along with chapped lips, and finding a place to stash the layers of cool-weather clothing. Ha! I saw some great teams in 60's, but today was up there among great NT events.

It was a blast! Had a great time all season. The team did not win them all, but they fought hard and never gave up. I could not be more proud of these great young men and the coaches. Also, as you said the fans. Good job fellow fans, we did our job.

Damn, I thought I was the only moron who forgot sunscreen for my face or a hat. Best mean green event I've ever been to in 19 years and it isn't even close. Was like one massive two day long party.
