Why did they call the timeout on the blocked FG?

Didn't make sense to try to ice the kicker attempting a 53 yard fg into the wind. I don't understand why coaches do that. I also don't understand why coaches use a timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty when you are punting the ball on the opponents 40 yard line. You actually need that 5 extra yards to avoid kicking the ball in the end zone. (Which our guy kicked it in the back of the end zone)

Anyway, great win for the program!

Don't know. Did UNLV's blockers stop playing when the whistle blown? That might explain how we blocked it.

Snap bounced in to the holder. The hold was bad because of it and that thing was getting blocked.

Sometimes I think coaches use an old coach play book written by some old coach back in the old years that says you MUST call timeouts to ice kickers. Just stop it.

Thankfully, it didn't matter, as we whooped up on that team and their EXTREMELY creeping looking mascot.
