Phoenix lost put Dallas Squarely in the drivers seat, I kind of think it is over. I don't see Phoenix beating San Jose. If they lose we are in, if we win tomorrow we in.

Pretty darn surprised to see that. I was thinking Phx would at least be able to get a point out of that which they frequently manage to do. I do like Dallas' chance of winning tomorrow given they are reeling and both Backes and Oshie likely won't play. Ryan Miller struggled and was pulled too. I think they could clinch this sucker tomorrow and luckily for me I'll be at the game. I really hope it is a full house tomorrow as it will be a playoff like atmosphere.

Heard fro the Stars "experts" Bob and Dan on The Ticket that tonight's game is really a "must win" because they don't want to rely on beating Phoenix Sunday to get in.

Playoffs start for the Stars tonight...win to get in.

I hope so, Phoenix can still lose tomorrow against San Jose and we are in.

5 years 10 months and something like 23 days since the last playoff game

I think we get Anaheim in the first round. I have to say, at first glance, I think we have a shot.

Correct. Stars vs Ducks.

Gonchar and Goligoski are just killing me, man I hope they are not here next year.

I could only watch that defensive performance through the first. Defense is a great place to build we need some righties. I think we can develop the rest of the forwards and Kari is solid. I am missing Dillon right now.

I know you reacted in real time, but I'm fine with Gogligoski as a second or third pair d-man; he's just being asked to do too much right now. I think fo him as Kevin Millwood as a staff ace right before the Rangers got an influx of pitching.

More importantly, cannot wait to fire Gonchar and Rome into the sun.

Gogligoski plays a ton of minutes, I feel he is slow to get his shots off, slow to get passes off, makes bad decisions on those passes too many in front of our crease. He gets caught deep regularly. His numbers were not bad but if any guy in the NHL spent that much time on the ice with Tyler and Jamie they are going to have better numbers. All you have to do is feed one of them and you have an assist. To be fair you probably right but he is an expensive 2nd or third line defense. He seemed to be in a panic when I was done last night. To top it off I had a bad day at work which had me I am sure in a more grumpy mood. We use Google apps for our email,(never ever use Gmail for replacement for exchange) Gmail pro was also hit by the heart bleed virus and some of our email accounts were compromised. I along side my IT assistant and my office manager spent the whole day changing passwords and cleaning up the mess. I did not get home until just before they dropped the puck.

I had the opposite game, so that, and your terrible day, explains your pure, passoniate rage. I missed the first period entirely because of an event going long, then settled in at the midway point of the second. I agree Gogli is overpaid, but this is still a team under the cap and it's not my money, so I've decided to stop holding that against him. Gonchar continued to flub everything around him - even when the team was coming around - while everyone else settled down. You know who could have helped settle everyone down last night...Pevs.

I know he's a lightning rod, but no one seemed ready in the first from what I have read (especially with the dumb penalties), but the worst part of the last 6 minutes was watching our defense fire the puck directly into 3 Anaheim guys packed in front of them instead of making the extra passes for something that would at least get to the net. Anaheim doesn't play a strong defensive game without the puck and we seemed to have no patience or drive to exploit that until way too late.

I know everyone is taking a moral victory from the comeback, but it starts over every night and Andersen will also have his first experience behind him, too. Nervous for tomorrow night, but it's fun to be nervous again. Basically, stay out the box and we have a really good chance here the more we play 5 on 5.

I think Goose would be ok as a second or third pairing D, but yeah, that is expensive. And dead on about him being slow to pass or shoot. Does he even know what a one timer is? Sometimes, it's ok to shoot the puck instead of holding it. We have to focus on defense this off season. I'm not sure what his contract is, but if he is free, I'd love to have Suban here.

There's pieces out there, but any top guy is coming through a trade, and the pieces to get there are going to hurt.
