In response to UNLV firing Mike Sanford in 2009.

"If we bring in the right coach and fill out seats at our stadium I believe well do better fiscally,

"A good football and basketball program are critical because all universities are community watering holes and I think when you have an easy onramp like athletics its a way for people to come in and learn about us and appreciate us.
