Thanks for posting. It should be a very interesting competition this spring and fall.

I'm with Vito - from everything I've read so far, as well as Mac's style, I expect them to give him a year of conditioning before he jumps into the race, unless he blows the rest out of the water this spring.

That's what I've been figuring. But this article made me rethink that. You don't go to all that trouble to make sure he's on campus a semester early when you are already planning to RS him a year, then have him ride the pine another 2-3 years. Obviously Connor is under the impression that he will have a legitimate shot to compete for a starting spot, or at least the #2 spot, in the fall.

Well...McNulty seems pretty solid but not amazing. Berglund apparently doesn't pass Canales' litmus tests for appropriately managing the game, no matter how talented he is. JuCo dude (what was his name again?) may or may not have the goods, so we'll see how he fares against a decent mid-major defense in the spring. So what it boils down to is whether McNulty and Berglund are able to step up their game a bit. Connor will probably be pushing for the #2 spot if he does really well, but I'm thinking the extra semester just gives him 1 1/2 redshirt years instead of just 1. And in my book, that's a great plan. The point of getting so many decent QBs is to develop the program, not just the next season. If Connor is good but can be better with a bit of conditioning, and we don't need him to play until 2015, that's a huge win. I'm hoping we see an obvious #1 with a very close #2 before the UT game, and I really hope Means Greens will be able to wait a year but still be awesome so that we're in good shape for the next 5 seasons at QB before we even sniff the next QB commit.

We caught up with Rick Villarreal for a little story in today’s paper.

UNT acknowledged the glitch and is doing everything it can to fix it. The glitch boiled down to this: UNT fans could get tickets in one of two ways. Fans could pick them or pay to have them delivered via FedEx.

UNT was never going to mail those tickets.

Really?????????

Per MeanGreenSports.com

Ticket Pickup All tickets purchased by Dec. 18 will be mailed on December 20.

Wow!
