I'm told that airing your grievances on a fan message board, read almost exclusively by fellow North Texas supporters, makes you nothing more than a malcontent. Don't you have RV's personal cell number?

Sounds like a Festivus for the rest of us!

Wait...they called to ask you if you picked up your tickets...from them?

Seriously, this just seems like a huge lack of organization. Let's see:

1) Some people who used FedEx didn't get their tickets.

2) Some people who used FedEx got their tickets.

3) Some people who didn't use FedEx didn't get their tickets.

4) Some people who didn't use FedEx got their tickets.

This doesn't seem like basic miscommunication or like one specific option turned out to not work for whatever reason. If we move back soon and they want to pay for a ticket office manager, I'll do it cheap as long as the hours aren't excessive enough to prevent me from still working from home on my other stuff. I'm totally serious, too. UNT could lose a lot of money if these "hiccups" continue so if they want somebody to be annoyingly over-organized to avoid recurrences...well, I'm annoyingly over-organized. ;) Not that any of this matters since this is a message board, but hey, it's a thought.

I bet one employee was supposed to take a big box of tickets to FedEx and get them sent and either did not make it in time or just forgot. It could be one person just really dropped the ball.

I was told there was a $5 fee per ticket for FedEx. I paid $160 for 2 tickets.

That's what Coleman told me as well. I wasn't busy this afternoon and drove to the Omni and got my tickets. And a tshirt.

I got home about 4:30 and there was a message from Coleman asking if i got the tickets and if not they would be in will call. That makes me believe they have no idea if tickets were sent or how. I have mine so while quite irritating, the problem is solved for me.

But this was a total screw up by the athletic department. Not FedEx, not UPS and not the Post Office. There is another post office in Denton that WAS open every day except Christmas!

No, the athletic department totaled screwed the pooch on this one.

I'll be taking my chances at Will Call. Please, Baby Football Jesus, make sure my tickets are there when I walk up to Gate J in the morning.

If you ordered them through the ticket office they'll be at Gate E. There should be three or four windows based on last name alphabetically.

Ok, this is a service I will offer, as I drove to Denton Saturday and picked up my two tickets at Apogee, so am set. As a City of Dallas employee, we were emailed an announcement that we can pick up 2 free tickets by presenting a City of Dallas ID at gate "J". As soon as I have eaten something at the tailgate, I will go over to gate "J", get whatever tickets I can, and give them to whoever did not get their tickets that they paid for and did not receive for whatever reason (honor system). Said individual(s) can text me at 817-715-0768; first come first served. If 10:30 comes and goes with no requests, I'll give them to whoever wants.

For those reading this thread who missed the earlier threads, the mistake boils down to this. All written information about getting tickets through UNT said the cut-off for priority seating (based on Mean Green priority points) was December 18 and that those tickets would be sent via FedEx on December 20. With a website that was confusing, many called the ticket office to place orders - $75 per ticket, $20 for parking pass, and $5 handling fee. Most were not told about another $10 for FedEx. (That was the huge miscommunication.) So when it came time for the tickets to go out to FedEx, orders without the $10 were kept. Supposedly some people were called, but I and obviously many others were not contacted. While we waited the December 22, December 23, and December 24 for FedEx, the tickets were simply sitting in will call. After not seeing anything the 26th, I called early the 27th and learned what happened. I went up to Denton later that morning and picked mine up. An apology from RV went out later that day.

It's still confusing and say's nothing about FedEx.

...."All tickets purchased by Dec. 18 will be mailed on December 20. If you prefer to pickup tickets, contact the ticket office at at 940-565-2527 by Dec. 19.

Tickets purchased after Dec. 18 can be picked up at the North Texas Athletic Ticket Office according to the Ticket Office Schedule below. Tickets can also be picked up at the Omni Hotel in Dallas on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 from 3 to 5 p.m. After that, any tickets not picked up will be held at Will Call at the Cotton Bowl. Tickets purchased through North Texas will be at the Will-Call window at Gate E at the Cotton Bowl. Click here for a map of Fair Park...."
