I seriously cannot wait for this game to happen..i am losing sleep over it because i am so excited. I have friends that are alumni staying over at my house tomorrow from all over Texas so that we can ride the dart to the stadium together.

Just finished watching Beyond the Green and i wanted more... ugh!!!

It looks like our brunch/bowl watching party in Phoenix will be our biggest event since we started a few months ago. So yeah, even though I'm only there in Mean Green spirit, I'm feeling the same way. A big New Year's Day win at the Cotton Bowl could help our group, and others away from the DFW area, gain some visibility and momentum. If the Mean Green presence in other areas becomes more stable, we could be a household name like the P5 and top-end mid majors like Boise and Marshall within a decade. A few more bowls, and a few more famous alumni giving us a shout-out whenever possible, can make that happen.

Plus, I'm nervous because we're 1-0 in bowls I've attended and 0-3 in those I haven't. That's another streak that REALLY needs to end this week.

I think this is going to be the biggest North Texas event in my personal history of following the program. So many fans from so many eras will be a part of this. The biggest thing however is how many young and newer fans that will become indoctrinated into Mean Green faithful in the next couple of days. I think we will leave an imprint on Dallas that is bigger and more lasting than anything the university has ever been able to leave before. I think we will look back at this and say this was a big step forward for the program and the entire university. Extremely excited! GMG!

Ditto, which is why a win on New Year's Day is so critical. Lose, and we fall back into the shadows of DFW. Win, and we make even more take notice heading into next year vs. Texas. Win that one, and we are the Metroplex's favorite son heading into our Apogee home opener vs. SMU.

It's amazing what winning can do! #BeatUNLV

Very poetic, Harry! But if we lose by 21+ points...that would be the wrong kind of imprint.

I think extended breaks are okay. See Idaho game.

I counter with Tulane and UTSA, but maybe the 30 ay break is better.

Predict DMac actually have them ready and the good guys win by 14+
