Elephants on parade

Here they come, one by one, elephants on parade...

Okay, maybe I'm the only one that had nightmares after watching Dumbo when I was little, but there's more than one elephant in the room when you look at Wednesday's bowl against UNLV.

1) Series record against UNLV: 0-4.

2) Season record after taking time off between games: 0-2

3) Site record at the Cotton Bowl: 0-??

This may sound negative, but it's not. Those stats are history and have no effect on this game. The point here is that we need this win to end those streaks and come closer to leveling out our record in a number of areas. These have all been brought up at one point or another but I wanted to throw them all together (along with any others you might want to add) in one place so that we can see the streaks end in a couple of days.

Go Mean Green...all the way. And yes, we need us some more Coach Mac. It's time for a new, and longer, Bowl Era for this mid-major and home to so many greats, athletes and non-athletes alike, including quite a few on this forum. The media window provided to UNT by a successful run over the next decade or so will reap many benefits.

Every game is different.. this team isn't responsible for the 4 losses against UNLV.. our mean green didnt even have UNLV on their radar.

Right. Like I said, all of that is just history, but they are still streaks that need to end this week.

Completely agree that these are stats that need to be in the rear-view mirror...

good thing this team has removed the stench of so many similar stats that I can't even keep track of them all (road wins, consecutive wins, bowl game...)
