After grabbing headlines with his performance in the Military Bowl, Rakeem Cato looks positioned to garner quite a bit of pre-season buzz heading into next season as writers look for "this year's Jordan Lynch."

This would be incredible for CUSA. I think a key to growing the image of the conference is to have marketable players on a national level.

Lynch is the perfect example. His and NIU's success raise the perception of the MAC above the rest of the non-AQ schools (even though those merits should be questioned now given the conference's 0-4 bowl record so far).

Let's hope Cato & Marshall are in Denton in '14!

And, that the Mean Green show them what home field advantage means as the Mean Green Nation turns out in force to watch another home Mean Green VICTORY!

Cato and Marshall are going to be tough to beat next year. I think they will be the favorite for the league championship with UTSA the Western Division front runner.

UTSA, us, and Rice all lose their qbs so the division could be wide open. I wouldn't be so quick to predict UTSA the pre-preseason favorite for next year's west division just because they have so much coming back.

The only thing that really impressed me about that team Soza's ability to make plays with his legs and feet.

Marshall was REALLY 'green' this Season. They will be the overall C-USA favorite going into next Season, imo. And, they turned in a GREAT Performance for the Conference yesterday in Annapolis! Made me proud to be in C-USA, and have an effort like that, and not an ECU or Tulane who are LEAVING the Conference...
