Have friends at the game that texted me. They didn't say, except he was an Honorary Captain and that they mentioned North Texas. So, don't know much more....

He's a member of the Texas Sports Hall Of Fame so he's got lots of Texas Clout for the Texas Bowl.

What I wonder is, since we were not included as a potential participant in this bowl when it was announced at its inception, now that we are C-USA members do we now qualify?

I think this is the second or third time the Texas Bowl happened without a team from Texas in it.
