Heart of Dallas ESPN Sign Ideas

I still like "North Texas would like to welcome the UNLV fan to Dallas"

I laugh every time I read that. I read it out loud and Tiffiny was laughing really hard too. We both think you definitely need to use that one.

Actually, I just thought about it again, and it would be even funnier if it said "fans" and had the "s" crossed out with a huge X.

They don't care about us. Lets make posters about relevant topics.

Although, I am all for posters about both SMU and TCU watching from home. Lets just try to avoid the SMU little brother syndrome for once.

God no kidding, why all this childish concern about SMU? It looks like some of you have penis envy for them.

I don't understand the need to attack SMU with our signs. This is our bowl. This is our time. Why should we give them any time on the air? I think a better train of thought would be to steal some of SMU's thunder. They tried to promote their program as the team of Dallas. We should make signs claiming Dallas, Fort Worth, and Denton. I think several signs with this common message would be great.

Dallas is Mean Green Country! (with an image of the Cotton Bowl draped with North Texas banners)

Fort Worth is Mean Green Country! (with an image of the Stock Yard Longhorns lead by Scrappy)

Denton is Mean Green Country! (with an image of our fans and players celebrating a Mean Green TD at Apogee)

We have 36,000 students and many more alumni then SMU and TCU. We shouldn't concede any territory to either. For our uninvolved alums, the Dallas media, and the national audience, that should be our message. Just my opinion.
