I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been a groupon deal set up for end zone tickets last minute - maybe it's still coming. I think they have done one in previous years for the HOD bowl. Looks like a previous groupon deal on HOD tickets at $38 each sold > 1000.

I don't think the Texas Bowl ever went the Groupon/Living Social route but stubhub tickets were apparently pretty cheap before the huge FedEx charges. I'd imagine the TX Bowl and HOD would have similar turnouts. They had fliers for free tickets at the last Texans game.

A gamble.... I would have thought that they would like to promote this deal throughout the weekend and into Monday or even Tuesday. They are making a tough call by launching later than today due to the risk of alienating those who are, as we speak, making plans to go do something on NYE or NYD.

The problem I see arising is that if they do launch one and we sell a couple of thousand easy.......they will get in through the will-call gate and if shi* hits the fan with our own tickets not arriving then you will see one VERY busy Will Call booth.

"Groupons" has to be pushed. There is no reason why the Cotton Bowl or UNT can't come up with something offering endzone seats or at least nose bleeds for 50-75% off. It's a way to bring in more money and more fans of football. It need to happen.

Guys, I should have posted it. I have been scanning both Groupon and Living Social because we have Prairie Lights specials. It could have been Fort Worth Groupon, I'm not sure. But Living Social was a couple of weeks ago.

Sorry, I don't remember any more details.

I'm surprised no one else caught it - too bad, would have loved to have caught some for the in-laws.
