Not too long ago, we mentioned that UNT wanted one junior college linebacker in its 2014 recruiting class.

The Mean Green had two players it was looking at for that spot A.J. Smith of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Carderious Dean of Itawamba JC in Mississippi.

Dean cancelled his visit to UNT, while Smith came back to town.

UNT landed Smith. Arkansas State landed Dean.
