WE all care about the direction of NT Athletics or we wouldn't be on here,,,, well, except for Cougar Q, Smut2006, et al. AS fans we want wins and something positive to show upward direction. It's hard to find positive with many losses but we did better yesterday than most would have thought.... being 14 point dogs and losing a starting QB and receiver. The portal needs fixed or tossed completely. Binding contracts need to happen with players. -

UNT vs Texas State BOWL GAME THREAD!!
I'm reading a lot about this. I can't find anything definitive, but Drew might have started at safety while he was a senior (maybe junior, too). I don't think it takes away from the story though. Not starts at the QB position since he was a HS frosh. Remarkable. -

Game Day
I had a nice time, too. Rode the dart with my youngest. Wife and oldest met us later. The UNT tailgate was a good time, saw some old friends, cheered on the green, was holding my breath for Mestemaker’s version of the Drive, had dinner at the Londoner, then headed home. It was a good back and forth game. Our uniforms looked sweet! Wish we had a few more fans…or even fans that cheered at appropriate times. Their fans were pretty rowdy. I think our Maniacs initiative will pay off soon. We’re not there yet. I think we’re trending in the right direction. Glad so many young guys got to play last night. Was nice to see Rod Brown dancing the last defensive drive. Hope he gets a chance to keep playing football. On to basketball season. GMG!- 2
