George Marshall, a point guard who spent the last two and a half years at Wisconsin, is on an official visit to UNT.

Marshall was at the Mean Green’s Friday afternoon workout. Wisconsin announced that Marshall would transfer just 12 days ago.

Marshall played in just two games this season for the Badgers.

“I am looking for a fresh start and a place where I can make an impact,” Marshall said. “I have known [uNT head coach Tony] Benford for a while. He recruited me when he was at Marquette. When I decided to transfer, he was one of the first people I talked to.”

So if we aquire this guy we will be out of the jones running. Which is fine with Combs and Wesley both being freshman next season.

Let's be honest, we were never IN the Jones running. He wants to get away from home and go some place where the team will be competitive. We strike out on both counts.

Ok, so you are saying given that option right now as a PG who could be a true drive and dish PG and allow Chris to slide to 2 guard and be an attacking guard (which is what he is/does) you wouldn't take it. You would be crazy.

I do not want chris at the 2. We need him to step up be a true point guard and run the team! We have tons of 2s I rather have who can score. Vaughn's, Walton, Taylor, Aniefiok, even Alzee. Chris needs to settle into his role as our point guard now.

Andrew, again with your opinion, I forgot no one knows basketball like you. However, I am saying that Trey being on the team would allow Chris to slide over to the 2 instead of running the point. He was a scoring PG in HS and continued to be that in college. If you do not think CJ would be more of a threat for us on the wing than running PG you sir are mistaken. He thrives in the open floor if he isn't allowed to run and attack the rim then let someone else dribble it up the floor and let Chris attack the rim from a guard spot. He is a strong guard who can take and absorb contact.

I understand that, but we have better options then him at the two. I think most of his minutes this year are going to come at the point guard position. That I where we need him. If our roster was different the yes, but we are loaded at the 2 and apparently then at the point. We are one of the worst teams in all of the NCAA when it comes to assists and we need someone to get us over in that category. Edited by Andrew
