60,000 tickets sold for the N.O. Bowl. Sad that we can't support our school like UL-f'in-Lafayette and Tulane

Oh wait, let's blame the lack of "sexiness" in our opponent or trot our wheatever other lame ass excuse we can come up with.

ULL folks. ULL

So we should admonish ourselves because two teams from Louisiana, who are natural rivals, are selling more tickets to their game than our game vs. UNLV? Put some blame on UNLV, who will bring a pitiful crowd. Of course, we could do better, but it is no joke that we got the least appealing opponent from out fans' perspective.

You think if we were playing SMU we'd have sold 60K+ seats between the two schools? I mean I'd love to think so, but highly unlikely.

Our first winning season in 9 years. We have a history of apathy. Let's be patient...we can't control what's not in our hands. Just keep on winning and be on a quest to get noticed by the average Joe out there.

Absolutely! Especially when you consider some on this board have only seen a 1 season winning streak at North Texas.

Ticket sales will come.

I called the ticket office today to buy six seats and they told they wouldn't be able to tell me the rows/seats available until all of the season ticket holders were finished, which would be next Thursday or Friday. I'm hoping a lot of people are waiting to see what's available before pulling the trigger.

Excuses, thy name is North Texas

Darn...are you having an LSD trip? You sound like some guy named KRAM.

Be still may heat....totally agree! Excuses and talk....cheap and seemingly a hallmark of the UNT fan base. Like teams who have been losing, the UNT fan base needs to learn how to win. The HOD Bowl is the start. Let's hope the learning curve is not a steep one!

Edit: But, we all support the players, right, even when we don't show up at the games? The players know the support is there through ESP! Right?

This predictable because the City of Fort Worth & TCU do a good job of selling tickets to the locals for "THEIR" bowl game. FW and TCU don't want to be embarrassed with a small crowd at ACS..

Some of you told me you went to this bowl game last year and saw all this FW & TCU civic spirit firsthand.

Said right after we were given a G5 opponent that in hindsight with HOD not really (seemedly) hustling to get our school a P5 opponent that Coach McCarney and the Mean Green would have been better served playing Navy at ACS.

With what we have sold thus far and will continue to sell, we would be looking at Standing Room Only for that FW bowl game and I say that being as serious as a heart attack.

GMG!

Making friends. Influencing people.

So concerned that I'm not making friends on GMG. So concerned. Just biding my time here until I lose my temper and get banned.

I've already gotten in trouble for responding to people making fun of our Homecoming queen on here and not standing by while people throw every profanity possible on here in an angry hate filled rage.

I do not care anymore.
